Spike!
Spike is a 3.5lb chihauhau. With that being said, his is the smallest dog that we have. Spike has a personality of a pit bull and a teddy bear all at the some time. With his  owners he is one way and with us (Melissa and myself) he is another dog. Every day with spike is an inventor.

We start  with the warm barking at the door to let us know that he is aware that some one is coming in. Tail is wagging and the circle of “I so happy to see you” start. Thinking its one of his owners, he looks up and see us and all the joy leaves him.  The dread that he is going to have to go for the midday walk is almost too much for him.  So off to his favorite spot that day.   Its crazy and funny how it’s all the same everyday.  You would think that he would get use to us after a while.  But no.

SO the fun begins.  We talk to him to let him know that we love him and see how his day is going,  and he growls back.  It’s a great conversation. While we are petting his sister Butters who  is more than happy to see us and can’t wait for us to going walking. ( I will save butters for another day)  Then we reach over to give him a pat or scratch on the head and our finger move quickly so that they are not bitten .  It’s the same every day.  So off we go and get the harness and leashes for the walk.  Remember Butter is following us still doing circle of complete joy that we are there and giving her attention and can’t wait to go outside.  On the way back he tries to hide in one  of his many hiding spots (closet is his favorite or under the office desk).  With much growling and some barking of protest we  grab him up. With all finger attached. Harness goes on and then we see the teddy bear that he can be.  Loving resting in our arms he is ready for his walk down the start and out side.   We do the lap or two around the block with no problem or protest because the harness is already on!

With much joy when it is over and we are in the front door spike and his sister butters show us where the treats are.  Once again we have the circle of joy going on and as much love as a 3.5 lb dog can give you.

With that tails of how spike is. It all changes when you bring your lunch in and share.  I will save that story for another day.  But remember this he and his sister are  of are favorite little fur friends…

Everyone tells me that I need to have a blog. Really what am I going to Blog about that you haven’t already heard, read or seen on tv??  SO with that being said I thought I would blog most days about what happens. Yes you all get to read about my day walking dogs. Some days it is fun and funny. Others not so much. So I hope that you enjoy my tails of my days. You never know it may be the one thing in your day that makes you laugh.

So today was a light day for me. Shiloh was the funny one today, well george could give him a run for his money. Shiloh (yellow lab with pink nose) has a thing for doing dive bombs in the grass. So you can only get about 2 to 3 yard and then he as to dive bomb the grass. Then he likes to army crawl for a few feet to have the grass rub his belly. I really hope that is way he likes it. LOL.  Then its on to his back to see how long it is before I tell him that its time to move on.  This make for a long walk with for me and a fun on for him.
Now george he is the funny little one. He is a one years old and full of spunk Wheaten Terrier. He has to get all the love in before the walk and then we can go. He thinks that you is the ruler of the world but I have to remind him that I rule on the walks. We are both working on walking in a normal fashion.  And when I say normal I mean that I still have an arm when we get back.  For some reason he wants to always be first and pulls everyone along with him.  His sister abby ( another wheaten terrier) could care less if his is first or not, but george has some point to make and no one know really what it is.  All he has to do is give you a look and you melt.  Its bad.  That is how he gets away with all that does.

I will try to get some pictures of all my fur friends so that you will have faces with the name.   Well thats all for today.  Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings
